What does an absolute novice wear for boxing?

My son just started boxing with HAS threes of dull history. As with virtually everything else At That Age, this year Involves dad acting as unpaid taxi service dropping off and picking up (in common with The Other dads). The guy doing the boxing training and this HAS HAS Noticed That Suggested Another Trainer at the gym runs a session for the men at The Same time as the lads ET trains to save us going back and forth. The four of us Have Agreed to this purpose, whilst we’re looking forward to it, none of us Have done anything like this before so, despite Being grown men, we are all a little apprehensive as well. The Guy has Explained That Will Provide the gym gloves and head guards so, words in history, we just need ‘minimum package’. Obviously, we know That we’ll Need shorts purpose do we wear a shirt, vest or go shirtless (or does it matter) and trainers are OK as footwear or Do we need something else? Also, totally random question, if goal I’m wearing a head guard, should I remove my gold earring is it OK to keep it in? Thanks in anticipation of your replies.
