Does Pocono deserve two dates? If not, which track would you give it to? Mark Trest: I view Pocono as a track deserving of a spot on the Sprint Cup schedule, but not two races. Its one of those odd tracks, kinda like the road courses, which do add another element of competition to the series.

Also positioning: hands up, chin down, elbows in. Then there’s defensive movements and strategies: head, arm and body movements – parrying & cuffing, slipping & faking, bobbing & weaving, lateral movements, angles, distance, timing – and on down the line. There’s also conditioning: circuit and mirror training, shadow boxing, heavy bag, speed bag, jump rope, strength training, and stomach exercises, plus roadwork, diet, and when and how to train – including stretching at the beginning and end of every workout, so you don’t feel ‘knocked out’ the next day! I think the biggest difference is that we are a group of people who share a common interest, in this case recreational boxing and MMA. We are not selling you heavy bags or a ring or treadmills – we sell you an environment – which will not only do you get the best shape of your life, but will have a dramatic effect on all areas of your life . Being motivated by the trainers and inspired by members is something you can not get when you walk on a treadmill CNN. There is no hierarchy, everyone comes to train. I’m not very athletic. Will I be too intimidated to workout? No, quite the contrary. Most of our members have never boxed before, and whether or not you’re athletic remains to be seen. Do not consider yourself unathletic because you were the last choice in fitness. Remember you come here to learn to box, not show us what an accomplished fighter you are. We are able to take everyone and teach them to box as a professional boxer. My girlfriend wants to try a class with me. Is this a good idea? Absolutely. We have worked diligently to create a good atmosphere throughout the gym. Trainers and staff members, we make everyone feel safer included. We introduce members to each other, and use a lot of teamwork in the context of conditioning exercises. Our goal is to introduce Boxing & MMA to an audience that has previously . . . B>
