My years as a teenager were the days when women were totally dependent on their husbands financially and men were totally dependent on their wives at home. This influence has had a positive and a negative impact.

Being a woman business internet based home I want to support other women aspiring home business owners by offering some facts about their role in the American dream. I want to encourage and inform where I can. Women have come a long way in the world of business because of the will and because of necessity.

Now we can have it all – a happy marriage, children, friends and a successful business if we choose.

Recent developments on the American women business owners:

Women own about 66% of home business, the number of 3. 5 million and provide full or part-time employment for 14 million people. In today’s economy AA, home-based businesses are a growing sector.

The number of businesses owned by women increased faster than the national average of 20%.

73% of businesses owned by women are home-based businesses.

Between 68% and 70% of women home-based businesses will survive AA based on a period of three years.

In 2010 women are expected to control $ 1 trillion, or 60% of the country, the wealth AA, according to a study by Business Week and Gallup.
